Extra! Extra! Read All About It!
We've spent some time discussing central ideas relating to human rights. What does the term "human rights" mean to you? Who were the human rights activists?
You will be conducting a mock "interview" with an influential activist for human rights. After the interview, you will publish what you learned about this important person (using Microsoft Word.) Be sure to include a headline, main ideas, a photo that represents the activist, and a bibliography. Each student will work individually to collect the data and make your article look fantastic, remember your editor cares about the details. Students will be expected to gather 7-10 facts and create an article (no fewer than 250 words) based on the hypothetical interview.
Once finished, we will print off your breaking news article and distribute them to the class for analysis!
